Dublin Castle

from 20.00

A castle with an incredibly rich history, Dublin Castle was built in the thirteenth century on a Viking settlement site and was once home to the headquarters of the British administration in Ireland. Following the state’s independence from Britain the building was used by the Irish government and to this day serves as a major government building. Alongside being highly functional, it is also a truly beautiful building housing the Chester Beatty Library on it’s grounds. Our print depicts a building of many different names now know as The Medieval Tower it has also over the years has known as Gunner’s Tower, Record Tower or Wardrobe Tower. Each of the different names represent a function the tower held through the years. One of the oldest surviving parts of Dublin City our Dublin Town collection wouldn’t be complete without it.

Our Dublin Castle print is part of our  “Dublin Town” series, an architecturally inspired collection of contemporary open edition prints incorporating vivid inks and eye-catching textual elements reminiscent of vintage gig posters.

Reproductions of our original screen prints, our fine art archival prints are guaranteed to retain their vivid colour and striking aesthetic for a lifetime. Designed and printed in our Dublin studio, each print is hand signed to guarantee authenticity.

Available two sizes A4 (210mm x 297mm) and A3 (297mm x 420m).

We care deeply about the environment and use only recycled paper and card made from wood free ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) pulp. All our prints are packaged in clear protective sleeves made from corn starch and are 100% biodegradable.

To keep your print as safe as possible, A4 prints are packaged flat in a print sleeve with a backing board and shipped in a padded envelope. A3 prints are shipped inside a kraft tube for extra protection. Upon arrival, we would recommend you take your print out of the tube as soon as possible and give it pride of place on your wall.
