Molly Malone - Dublin Town Series

The song Molly Malone tells the tale of a beautiful woman who plied her trade as a fishmonger on the streets of Dublin and died at a very young age.

The thing is, we can’t even be sure she existed in the first place.  A myth? An urban legend? A game of Chinese whispers that’s evolved over 300 years? Who know’s at this point.

Many years after the song was written, this statue was built in her honour. Somehow the song and, to a lesser extent the statue, seem to encapsulate something that is so quintessentially Dublin. The Tart With The Cart or The Dolley With The Trolley. We chose the latter.

Reproduction of an original screen print created by Julie & Owen.

Available in two sizes :

  • A4 (29.7cm x 21cm)
  • A3 (29.7cm x 42cm)

Printed on beautiful 189 gsm archival matte paper with archival inks and guaranteed to last for over 100 years.

All our prints are packaged in biodegradable cellophane sleeves.

Sleeves are made from plant cellulose which is naturally 100% compostable.

A4 prints are shipped flat packed in a padded envelope. A3 prints are shipped inside a kraft tube for protection. Upon arrival we would recommend you take your print out of the tube as soon as possible and hang it on your wall.

We always recommend supporting your local frame shop, but if you're in need of a budget solution, this print hangs beautifully in an Ikea Ribba frame.
